Let's get rural is a grass roots Not for Profit organisation providing much needed support to rural Australia. Starting out as a project of the Australian Horizons Foundation in 2017, LGR Inc is now a stand alone group of passionate Australians who simply care.
Since inception to June 2025, the troupe have visited over 300 communities and conducted over 1000 welfare checks to those who have reached out for mental well-being support.
Our mission is simple:
To provide social and economic support to rural Australians : one town at a time.
We wrap our arms around a postcode in need of a lift in morale because of a situation or event.
From floods, drought, bushfires, loss in the community and any other negative impact.
Our first port of call is with the pub! Why? Because the pub is the hub of the community.
From there magic happens.
Take Natimuk as an example:
A small country town going through their fair share of issues was chosen as the recipient of one persons generous support which came with the message "use it in a small country town going through a rough patch and work your charm" and that is what we are doing.
Working our charm with our troupe of amazing Ambassadors for a night in a small town.
